The art show is a bi-annual event and is the culmination of the
Arts based Clubs program run that year.
This years art show was entitled 'What a
Beauty!'
During the Art Show term, teachers offer clubs that relate to the theme and
assist children to work on beautiful and
creative art pieces. These, alongside other pieces created during the
specialist Visual Arts program ot the classroom and are unveiled at the KPS Art Show.
Classes also produce a small number of artworks available at the now infamous
'Art Auction' and plenty of drinks and nibbles are available.
2008's Art Show and Clubs were based on 'Finding
the Beauty'. Teachers offered a multi-age arts club activity around this
theme. There was a strong focus on environmental,
sculptural and installation artworks.
